Can you deliver calm, structured cover lessons and keep students engaged when the teacher’s away?
Are you confident standing at the front of the room and taking control — even without QTS?

Aspira Education is hiring Learning Cover Facilitators to provide lesson delivery support across Derbyshire secondary schools. This is a classroom-facing role for those with experience in youth support, sports coaching, mentoring, or education — especially people who want the challenge of whole-class supervision.

About the Role

In this role, you will:

• Supervise lessons and manage student behaviour in the teacher’s absence
• Deliver pre-prepared materials across a range of subjects
• Keep students on task, motivated, and focused
• Maintain order, reinforce school rules, and manage disruptions professionally
• Feed back to staff and report safeguarding concerns where needed

These are full-time roles (term time only), perfect for people with high energy and strong presence.

What We’re Looking For

We’d love to hear from:

• Cover Supervisors with classroom experience
• Graduates with school-based experience
• Ex-teachers or instructors looking to return to education
• Confident individuals from youth work or coaching who can lead a room

Requirements

• Right to work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS (or willing to apply)
• Two recent references
• Confidence managing secondary pupils and delivering lessons
