Aspira Education is seeking talented KS1 Teachers for roles across Derbyshire primary schools, with September and immediate starts available. Whether you’re looking for short-term flexibility or a long-term teaching post, we’ll match you with settings that prioritise consistency, inclusion and real learning — not box ticking.

Our schools include both mainstream and specialist settings, and we work with each teacher to find the right class, ethos and environment for success.

About the Role

As a Key Stage 1 Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging lessons across Year 1 or Year 2, using the National Curriculum
• Implement strong phonics teaching (Letters & Sounds, Read Write Inc or similar)
• Foster independence, resilience, and positive routines
• Track pupil progress through observation and assessment, adapting as needed
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and leadership to support each child

This is a full-time, term-time role. ECTs welcome to apply with support and CPD provided.

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching in KS1 or a strong understanding of early primary pedagogy
• Knowledge of phonics, early reading, and behaviour strategies for younger learners
• A caring, calm, and reflective approach
• Commitment to inclusion and high expectations for all learners
