Inclusion Support Worker
£15.50–£16.29 per hour | Monday to Friday | Full-time | CPD-accredited training provided

Do you believe every child deserves to feel included, understood, and supported — no matter their background or needs?
Are you calm, patient, and motivated by helping learners thrive — emotionally, socially, and academically?

Aspira Education is recruiting Inclusion Support Workers to join mainstream and specialist schools across Derbyshire, working closely with pupils who need extra help to access learning. These roles are ideal for individuals from care, youth work, psychology, mentoring, or pastoral support backgrounds — or those with lived experience who want to give back.

You’ll play a key role in helping pupils feel seen, valued, and included — creating a space where they can learn, grow, and succeed.

About the Role

As an Inclusion Support Worker, you’ll:

  • Work 1:1 and in small groups to support pupils with SEND, SEMH, or social barriers
  • Help children manage anxiety, behaviour, or transitions throughout the school day
  • Support classroom engagement and emotional regulation strategies
  • Encourage friendships, communication, and confidence among pupils at risk of isolation
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and wellbeing staff to deliver consistent support

This is a full-time, Monday to Friday position in a school setting — either mainstream or specialist — depending on your experience and strengths.

What We’re Looking For

We’d love to hear from you if:

  • You’ve worked in care, coaching, mentoring, or pupil-facing roles
  • You have experience supporting young people with learning or emotional needs
  • You’re compassionate, reliable, and good at building relationships with vulnerable learners
  • You want to make a long-term difference, not just fill a gap

We welcome career changers, returners to work, and people with lived experience who understand the importance of inclusion.

All applicants must have:

  • The right to work in the UK
  • A clear Enhanced DBS (or be willing to apply)
  • Two recent references
  • A willingness to complete free online safeguarding training

What You’ll Get

  • £15.50–£16.29 per hour (paid weekly via Parasol – our FCSA-accredited umbrella partner)
  • Free CPD-accredited training via the Aspira Training Academy
  • Guidance on emotional regulation, inclusion, and trauma-informed practice
  • Ongoing support from a team that understands the challenges and celebrates the wins

Why Join Aspira?

Aspira Education is a Derbyshire-based, REC-accredited SEND agency led by a former SEND teacher and national recruiter. We support professionals who make classrooms feel safe, inclusive, and calm — because that’s where real learning begins.

You’re not just supporting inclusion — you are the reason a pupil belongs.

Safeguarding Commitment

Aspira Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must be willing to undergo safeguarding and background checks, including an Enhanced DBS.
