Would you feel confident stepping into the classroom and delivering prepared lessons across a range of subjects?

Aspira Education is looking for Classroom Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Derbyshire. This is the perfect opportunity for confident, classroom-savvy individuals — such as cover supervisors, teaching assistants, instructors, or unqualified teachers — who can step up and take charge of lessons when a teacher is absent.

About the Role

As a Classroom Supervisor, you’ll:

• Deliver pre-set work and maintain focus in the absence of the class teacher
• Manage classroom behaviour and keep pupils on track with the lesson plan
• Support pupils with questions or clarification on tasks
• Liaise with subject teachers and school staff regarding pupil progress and behaviour
• Cover a range of subjects and age groups, depending on your experience

This is a full-time, Monday to Friday role during term time. Some part-time roles may also be available.

What We’re Looking For

We’d love to hear from people who:

• Have experience working in secondary schools (as a TA, instructor, mentor, or similar)
• Are confident managing behaviour in a classroom setting
• Can adapt quickly and build rapport with pupils
• Are reliable, professional, and ready to be a positive presence in school

Classroom Supervisor experience is ideal — but we’re also open to strong support staff or career changers with relevant backgrounds.

Requirements

• Right to work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS (or willing to apply)
• Two recent references
• Confidence in classroom management and professional conduct
