Aspira Education is hiring Classroom Assistants to work in Derbyshire primary and secondary schools, supporting teachers and pupils across a range of settings. About the Role

As a Classroom Assistant, you’ll:

• Support children during lessons and group activities, helping them stay focused and engaged
• Assist with preparing classroom materials, displays, and learning resources
• Help with basic admin tasks like photocopying, setting up equipment, and tidying
• Promote a calm, organised, and welcoming classroom environment
• Work alongside class teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to create a safe and inclusive space
• Encourage pupils’ confidence, independence, and enjoyment of learning

This role is term-time only, full-time (Monday to Friday), and based in a mainstream or specialist school.

What We’re Looking For

You don’t need school experience — just a positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to get stuck in.

Ideal backgrounds include:

• Customer service, admin, youth work, care work, or creative fields
• People with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a nurturing approach
• Individuals who enjoy teamwork, routine, and creating a warm learning atmosphere

All applicants must have:

• The right to work in the UK
• A clear Enhanced DBS (or be willing to apply for one)
• Two recent references
• A willingness to complete free online safeguarding training
