Behaviour Support Coach
£15.50–£16.29 per hour | Monday to Friday | Full-time | CPD-accredited training provided

Do you have a calm, confident presence and a genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers?

Aspira Education is hiring Behaviour Support Coaches to work with pupils in Derbyshire schools, providing 1:1 and small-group support for children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism, and ADHD.

You don’t need school experience — just resilience, empathy, and the ability to build trust.

About the Role

As a Behaviour Support Coach, you’ll:

  • Support pupils who display challenging behaviour, helping them regulate emotions and stay engaged
  • Build strong relationships and offer consistent, calm guidance
  • Use trauma-informed, de-escalation, and positive reinforcement strategies
  • Work with teaching staff, SENCOs, and DSLs to create safe, structured routines
  • Help pupils re-engage with learning and develop confidence in themselves

You’ll work Monday to Friday during term time, in mainstream, specialist, or PRU settings depending on your fit.

What We’re Looking For

We welcome candidates from all walks of life, including those with experience in:

  • Youth work, care work, coaching, or mentoring
  • Behavioural support, social care, or outreach roles
  • Supporting vulnerable young people in education or the community

You don’t need a qualification — just the ability to stay calm under pressure and a belief in second chances.

All applicants must have:

  • The right to work in the UK
  • A clear Enhanced DBS (or be willing to apply)
  • Two recent references
  • A willingness to complete free online safeguarding training

What You’ll Get

  • £15.50–£16.29 per hour (paid weekly via Parasol – our FCSA-accredited umbrella partner)
  • Free CPD-accredited training via the Aspira Training Academy
  • Coaching on trauma-informed practice and behaviour management
  • Ongoing support from a team who understands the classroom

Why Join Aspira?

Aspira Education is a Derbyshire-based, REC-accredited SEND agency led by a former SEND teacher and national recruiter. We believe that real impact starts with real relationships — and we’re here to support both.

Your calm presence is what helps pupils feel safe, supported, and ready to grow.

Safeguarding Commitment

Aspira Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must be willing to undergo safeguarding and background checks, including an Enhanced DBS.
