Are you passionate about making a difference?
Do you thrive in high-energy environments where no two days are the same?

Aspira Education is hiring Behaviour Support Coaches to work in Derbyshire schools, supporting children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) such as ADHDSEMH, and SEBD. This is an ideal role for those with experience in sports coaching, youth work, care, mentoring, or any transferable background where you’ve helped others regulate behaviour, build confidence, and grow.

We’ll train you.
We’ll support you.
You’ll change lives.

About the Role

As a Behaviour Support Coach, you’ll:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
  • Build positive, consistent routines that help children engage with learning
  • Use de-escalation, trauma-informed approaches, and positive reinforcement
  • Work closely with SENCOs, DSLs, and class teachers to track progress
  • Support social skills, communication, and self-regulation across the school day

You’ll be based in a local mainstream or specialist school, Monday to Friday, full-time during term time.

What We’re Looking For

You don’t need school experience, we’re looking for:

  • People with resilience, presence, and empathy
  • Backgrounds in youth work, sports, psychology, care, or mentoring
  • A genuine interest in working with children with additional needs
  • Clear communication and a calm approach in challenging situations

All applicants must have:

  • The right to work in the UK
  • A clear Enhanced DBS (or be willing to apply)
  • Two recent references
  • A willingness to complete online safeguarding training

What You’ll Get

  • £16.29 per hour (paid weekly via Parasol, our FCSA-accredited umbrella)
  • Free CPD-accredited training via our in-house Training Academy
  • Safeguarding & behaviour management coaching
  • Real classroom insight from qualified educators
  • Ongoing support from a team who get it (because we’ve lived it)

Why Join Aspira?

We’re a REC-accredited, Derbyshire-based education agency run by a former SEND teacher and national recruiter. Our mission is simple: raise standards, not just fill shifts.

SEND is not a bolt-on for us, it’s the heart of what we do.
Every placement is about more than cover. It’s about impact.

Safeguarding Commitment

Aspira Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must be willing to undergo safeguarding and background checks, including an Enhanced DBS.
